Cache Valley Investors Association
Get the Know-how on How to Make Your Fortune

Learn to manage your money and create better income doing the job you love, that’s what university professor Preston Parker at the Cache Valley Area Investors Association says.

President and Founder Preston Parker says the CVAIA promotes the ideas that money cannot buy happiness but can help provide financial independence if you know how to use it.

“In CVAIA, we focus on education and networking,” said Parker. “The cause is financial independence which is important because there are a lot of people who are unhappy and there are enough jobs in the United States that people can find the ones that they love.”

The Cache Valley Area Investors Association (CVAIA) teaches people that financial independence is composed of two incomes: passive income and earned income. Earned income is money that people earn on a regular paycheck and do not manage well making them less financially independent; passive income is money earned based on thought devoted to what they love to do. Parker said one of the goals is to raise passive income and lower earned income.

The CVAIA began in 2007 because, he said, he was tired of people asking him for advice on finances. They embrace three philosophical laws: Law of Attraction, the Law of Abundance, and the Law of Exchange. They practice methods found in the ideologies of books including Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter, the Wealthy Barber by David Chilton, The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, The Automatic Millionaire by David Bach, and the Secret. The members come together to mitigate the same belief that education mitigates the risks of investing.

Fast-food Chain Burger Planet Hires Fitness Celebrity to Promote Their Product

Gary, Ind--McDonald's has Michael Jordan, Subway has Michael Phelps now fast-food giant Burger Planet has brought fitness guru Jayne Petersen to promote their food as safe for those who wish to lose weight.

After over 70 years of customer service the Burger Planet chain has decided to label itself as a more active participant in promoting healthier food in response to recent demands by consumers to make fast-food more nutritious as opposed to the traditional burger-and-fries meal that fast-food is usually affiliated with.
Burger Planet's CEO Jim Meullenbach is optimistic about the new partnership with Petersen saying that they share a common goal.

“Jayne Petersen and Burger Planet share a commitment toward health,” Muellenbach said.” “The women Jayne Petersen have helped lose weight eat at Burger Planet. Burger Planet and Jayne Petersen are launching a comprehensive program to assist those women in eating healthy.”

Recent concerns over food the effect of fast-food consumption, such as the obesity lawsuits on different companies and a drop in profits has prompted the chain to rethink it's role as a major fast-food supplier. Burger Planet has served over 52 billion customers since they opened.

Social Media Club of Cache Valley.

An Organization Dedicated to Sharing Their Knowledge With the World.

LOGAN—The Social Media Club of Cache Valley is an independent organization whose goal is to show curious minds of the benefits of social media like Youtube, Twitter and Facebook and is aspiring to become a more active club and perhaps eventually become a non-profit organization, according to their president Preston Parker.

What began as a small organization in San Francisco has now grown into a global movement for the awareness of social media.

Right now, the organization wants to create a new location where they can frequent for Tweetups (a discussion on the benefits and news with the popular social networking site Twitter).

“We would like to have a location where those involved can get to know each other by meeting and socializing,” Parker said.

With social media now more popular than ever the SMCV seeks to inform the public of the marketing effects of new social media. Currently there are 40-60 active members, but Parker says that there could be as many as 160 active and inactive members. They also hope to become a private organization in the short-term but in the long term they hope to show others the opportunities associated with social media.
